Nine years ago, Jessie had a family. Now, she has a gang.
Nine years ago, Jessie was a vegetarian. Now, she eats very fresh meat.
Nine years ago, Jessie was in a car crash and died. Nine years ago, Jessie was human.
Now, she’s not.
After she was buried, Jessie awoke and tore through the earth to arise, reborn, as a zombie. Jessie’s gang is the Fly-by-Nights. She loves the ancient, skeletal Florian and his memories of time gone by. She’s in love with Joe, a maggot-infested corpse. They fight, hunt, dance together as one—something humans can never understand. There are dark places humans have learned to avoid, lest they run into the zombie gangs.
But now, Jessie and the Fly-by-Nights have seen new creatures in the woods—things not human and not zombie. A strange new illness has flamed up out of nowhere, causing the undeads to become more alive and the living to exist on the brink of death. As bits and pieces of the truth fall around Jessie, like the flesh off her bones, she’ll have to choose between looking away or staring down the madness—and hanging onto everything she has come to know as life…

I think this one sounds interesting. The only zombie book I've read was Generation Dead and I didn't care for it too much. But I'd like to give the zombie genre another go. I read The Book Smuggler's review on this and Thea gave it a rave review (Ana didn't) so I think I'd like to give it a go! Please enter me!

I've heard good things about his book. Count me in! Thanks for the giveaway!
I've been collecting a few zombie books on my TBR: The Forest of Hands and Teeth series and the first 2 Generation Dead books, but haven't actually cracked one open. But, Dust has me really intrigued. I could see myself finally breaking my zombie cherry with this one.
Thank you for giving this away!

I love zombie movies but I've only read a few zombie books. I just love the horror genre, in general. I am loving the concept of this book – conscious zombies, so to speak. I've not encountered a zombie book from the perspective of an actual zombie before, so kudos to this spin on storytelling.
Thanks!!

I really don't know what it is about zombie books/movies that I love so much. I guess just the "horror" of it– running for your life, fighting for humanity. I just love them! Please count me in. Thank you!

I like to read all types of post-apocalyptic books plus Zombies are making a come back. (pun – sorry) Two of my favorites are 'The Forest of Hands and Teeth' by Carrie Ryan & 'World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War' by Max Brooks.
I find it interesting that "Dust" is the from the view point of the zombie. (I love the cover with the degradation of the leaf).
Thanks for the giveaway

I like world war z and the zombie survival guide. For me, it is about the survival aspect, and what the characters have to go through to survive.

It seems like zombies are the new hotness and I'm not one who wants to be left out. My frame of reference regarding zombies is The Night of the Living Dead and Zombieland. It'll be interesting to read about zombies. I'm wondering what kind of spin will be used to make them more less scary and gross.

I have read about vampires, werewolves, demons, angels, griffins, etc. Now it is time to read about zombies.

I've wanted my first zombie novel to be one well recommended, and this one certainly is.

It kind of reminds me of Haley Joel Osment when he first said, "I see dead people."

Thanks!
I love horror movies and books anyway, but zombies hold a certain fascination for some reason. The thought of being trapped between life and death – forced to live in undeath takes on an interesting perspective.
I really enjoyed the book The Cell by Stephen King – especially with the unique way of becoming a zombie … through cell phones … and the whole collective consciousness that they had. Fascinating.

As zombies traditionally have been presented as not sexy, I want to see a different treatment.

i love this different take on zombies – been really excited about this one!

I've never read a zombie book. I'm interested in how they are portrayed in books as to how they are portrayed in movies.
lovemybabysquid@yahoo.com
I've never read a zombie book where the protagonist IS a zombie – generally they are fodder for killing and /or the danger to run from. So this is intriguing
adrianecoros(at)gmail(dot)com
I've only read books where the zombie was anything other than a monster to be killed. So I'd like to read a book from the zombie's point of view.

I don't think I've read a zombie book before (watched plenty of movies though) but I like reading about other weird and supernatural creatures so I think zombies would be good to read about too.

Not too long ago I started wanting to read a zombie book VERY badly. I think it was due to playing too much Left 4 Dead. The only problem was, I didn't know of any zombie books! I was able to find one but it was a scary one and I don't really want to read one like that. But this one sounds freakin perfect!!
