It Gets Better – What YOU Can Do

With the recent suicide of Tyler Clementi, an 18-year-old Rutgers University student the topic of bulling has been on many people’s minds.  Book blogger Kate Garrabrant AKA Katiebabs is sharing her story today on her blog of how she was bullied as a child and was nearly driven suicide herself.  She has also made a pledge to donate $1 per comment up to a total of $500 to The Trevor Project and Matthew Shepard Foundation.

Head on over to Kate’s blog and read her story, leave a comment and help her reach her donation goal.  I’ll be making a donation today and I encourage you to do so as well.  If you can’t help with a monetary donation but want to do something, help raise awareness, speak out by making a blog post or tell a few friends.
