At last, a look at Sarah MacLean’s newest book. I can’t wait for A Rogue By Any Other Name to come out in February. I’m really hoping I’ll love it as much as I did Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake.
*****

Ooh, Trouble at the Wedding looks good. I haven’t read Laura Lee Guhrke widely, but I’ve enjoyed what I have. I really enjoy the less common settings/time periods she puts her characters in.
*****

Warrior has quite a few things going for it. Dark wings, flaming sword, impressive muscles… I like this cover.
Kristina Douglas’s newest offering will released in April of 2012.
*****

I really like Linda Poitevin’s newest cover. The heroine is dressed in normal clothes–which I appreciate–and the angel (well, I assume it’s an angel) with fiery wings in the background has me intrigued. Sins of the Son is the the second book in The Grigori Legacy and is due out in March of next year.
*****

I really like the color tones in this cover. It’s hitting all the right notes for me. This appears to be the Sabrina Benulis’s first book, and Archon definitely seems a little different. The Vatican? A heroine recently released from a mental institution? Color me intrigued.

Shadow City by Diana Pharaoh Francis is the third book in Horngate Witches series. From what I’ve heard about this series, the action content is high and the writing is dark. Also, it’s (shocker) an Urban Fantasy series done in third person POV!
*****

I’m getting a very comic book feel for Bedeviled. That’s not a bad thing, but I’m not sure it’s accurate based on the first book’s description. Maybe it’s the color and style of the writing on the cover that’s giving me the vibe? Regardless, you can look forward to this second entry in the Dark Breed series by Sable Grace in December.

I’m sure most have heard by now, but for those who haven’t, Nalini Singh has announce the title for the eleventh book in her Psy/Changeling series. Tangle of Need will feature Riaz and Adria but will also heavily feature Kaleb and the Arrows.
*****
The first book in Emma Wildes’s new Ruined series will be called Ruined by Moonlight. Or at least that’s the word so far.
*****
Lynsay Sands’s third book in her Madison Sisters series will be titled The Husband Hunt and is due out in February. I’ve only read her PNR ones. Has anyone tried out her HR books?

For all you fans of the Downside Ghosts series by Stacia Kane, there’s a great deal going on right now. You can buy all the current releases in ebook form for only $11! Unholy Ghosts is $0.99 and Unholy Magic and City of Ghosts are $4.99 each.

Love, love Sarah MacLean’s cover! I can’t wait for that book! I need to give Laura Lee Guhrke a shot. I have a couple of her books but have not read them yet. The cover for Archon is beautiful and I am very intrigued with the storyline! Warrior’s cover is tasty as well!
I can’t wait for it either! If you want to give Guhrke a try then I recommend And Then He Kissed Her. Great book!
That’s the one I have, And Then He Kissed Her. Looking forward to it!
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
I too love Sarah MacLean’s new cover and can’t wait to read the book.
I have read Lynsay Sands historicals. I am a huge fan of hers, both her PNR and historicals. They all have her humor in them and I really enjoy them. I can’t wait for the last of the Madison sister’s books to be released.
Thanks for the info. I was curious to see if her HR ones had the same humor as her PNR ones. I don’t think I could imagine a serious Lynsay Sands.
The cover for Achon is a stock photo I’ve seen on 2 other covers. Very pretty but now overused.
Loves me some future books!
Ah, that’s always disappointing when that happens. Do you remember the other two?
Me too!
Any chance I woulc ask you to ift me Unholy Ghosts? It’s on full price for me since I’m from Canada, I would send you the money by paypal ^^

Thank you so much! *happy dance*
Which email should I send the money to and how much?
Don’t worry, it’s on me.
Enjoy.
Thank you so much <3 You rock!
Very nice covers this time around. I’m especially loving the ones for “Trouble at the Wedding” & “Archon”.
Thanks for the info about the “Downside Ghosts” series, Catherine! I’ve been procrastinating about continuing this series. The marked down prices are just the incentive I need.
Reduced prices always make it easier to end the procrastination.
I agree about both those covers. I really like them.
Oo I love the Archon cover! So pretty — even though the girl in a pretty dress thing is so popular.
I’ve noticed a lot of them, too. I haven’t quite gotten tired of them yet.
I’ve read several historicals by Lynsay Sands, including both The Countess and The Heiress, Madison Sisters 1 & 2. They were pretty good and Sands always does a great job using humor in her books.
The Sarah MacLean book is high on my TBR list. Thanks for the info.
No problem. Thanks for the info about Sands.
Hooray, a cover for Shadow City. I can’t wait for it to be released. The Horngate Witches series is one of my favs, but it’s definitely dark UF. If I had to compare it to anything else, I’d say it’s similar to Jennifer Estep’s Elemental Assassin series (which I also love).
Hmm, now I’m intrigued. I really like the Elemental Assassin series.
Storywise and worldbuilding-wise (hmm, is that even a word?), the two series are very different, but as far as the lead characters – that’s where the similarity comes in. If you like Gin Blanco, you’ll like Max (the lead character in the Horngate Witches) also. Max has that same ability to take a lot of abuse and still come out swinging. She’s very tough, but not snarky. She’s also fiercely loyal to her friends and the occasional noncombatants that get caught up in her world, and will do anything to protect them. I really like this series and I’d love to see it get some more attention.
I really liked Gin’s character, so now I’m intrigued. I think I’m going to have to check out the first book. Thanks for the info about it.
I read The Countess by Lynsay Sands and it was good but didn’t blow me away. I have heard the second book in that series was basically just a recycled version of the first book.
I listened to the first book of the Downside Ghost series on audio and I didn’t really like that one either. It was ok but something was just missing for me the entire time from the storyline.
Thanks for showing off all the new covers.
I haven’t tried the Downside Ghosts series, since I don’t think I could get into the heroine, but quite a few of my friends are fans of the series. How was the book on audio? Good narrator?
I really did enjoy the audio, the narrator was great. I think that had I actually tried to read the book instead of listen to it that I would have put it down. There is a ton of slang in the book since the characters do not talk in normal correct english. If I had to read the way they speak I would have put the book down in five seconds. The audio version was the only thing that got me through the book.
That’s a good point. It would probably drive me insane to read the slang, but I doubt it would bother me as much to hear it.
Awesome new covers, and I can’t wait to read them…
I have all on my gotta have list, and thank you for the contest!

I’m sorry, I think you misunderstood. This one doesn’t have a contest. I just randomly do cover/news posts for upcoming books. I’m glad you enjoyed the covers, though.
Ohh nice covers. I’m especially liking the cover of archon and warrior
I also heard there will be some appearances of Hawke and Sienna in Tangle of Need. I’d read it just for a little more of them two
You’re right, I forgot to mention that. I’m looking forward to seeing more of them.
