*Cover Version Updated — Thanks to Maria D. for the heads up!*
Look at this. A brand new Sci-Fi novel from Ilona Andrews. For a sneak peek of Silver Shark, you can read a snippet here. What do you guys think? Are you eager to give this one a try?

I’m digging the cover for Suzanne Brockman’s new book, Born to Darkness. The layered tank tops and the color tone work well together. Plus, that girl looks awesome with that hair cut. Look for this baby in stores come February.
*****

The Danger of Desire has me intrigued. I like thief stories when done well, so I’m curious to see how it’ll be handled in this one. I haven’t read anything by Elizabeth Essex before. Have any of you? If so, any good?
*****

I haven’t been able to find a summary for I Want Candy–my Google skills must be failing–but it looks fun. Something about these cartoonish covers always make me want to try them out. I guess I associate them with laughter. I am such a sucker for funny books. You can look for Susan Donovan’s new book in February.
*****

Shaded Vision is the eleventh book in the Sisters of the Moon series by Yasmine Galenorn. (Wow, how many sisters are there?) I usually like this yellow tone on covers, but for some reasons it’s not working for me here. Maybe it’s because her hair is too similar to it? Or the awkward pose? I don’t know. Regardless, you can expect this book to hit shelves in February.
*****

Another fun, cartoonish cover. Let Them Eat Stake by Sarah Zettel is looking pretty appealing. Vampires and chefs? What more could a girl ask for in a light paranormal?
*****

On Midnight Wings, the fifth book in Adrian Phoenix’s Maker’s Song series, is set to release in January. I’ve read the first book in this series but haven’t had a chance to catch up yet. I’ve heard it has just gotten better and better.

I’m not big on sci-fi but I love Ilona Andrews so I’m going to try Silver Shark.
I figured you would.
I’m so checking out the blurb of Brockmann and Andrews!!
I’ve never read Brockmann before. That cover is probably enough to entice me though.
Me too.
How the *bleep* did I miss out on the new Ilona Andrews series – I saw it for the first time today on Twitter and was like huh??! Eeeee!
Oh I <3 Adrian Phoenix's series, both Makers Song (and Hoo Doo) so squee!
lol. Behind the times.
I’ve been meaning to try Black Dust Mambo. I’ve heard it’s good.
The cover for the Ilona Andrews book has already been changed….their agent didn’t like the cover you are displaying and the new one is on their site
Blast! Of course an updated cover would be posted today. lol.
Oh I love the looks of Silver Shark! And Sci Fi! I think I need to look into that one.
Thank yoU!!!
No problem.
I’m curious to see the author’s take on Sci-Fi.
There are 3 sisters for Sisters of The Moon, Catherine. I think her pose too ordinary, rather than awkward
BTW, Sarah Zettel’s cover is cute!! Love the blue color!
Three sisters but eleven books? Have they branched out into friends of the sisters? The pose look too sharply angled and stiff for me. Possibly it’s because the model is so skinny.
I really like the Zettel cover too. It seems fun.
No. The POV for each book always switched from sister to sister. So book 1 is sister #1, book 2 is sister #2, book 3 is sister #3, then for book 4, the POV back to sister #1 again, the pattern is like that
.
Oh, I got it! It seems like the model said :”Dude, my neck and back are hurt, can you massage it? “
Oh, I see. That rotation seems nice. You get to revisit your old favorites.
LOL. That’s a perfect caption!
There is an additional snippet under the subject of beta’s…soooooo good!
What do you mean? What betas?
Oh, thanks for bringing that Susan Donovan book to my attention. I must put it on my wishlist and then cyber stalk Amazon, B&N, the author’s website until I find out more info. =)
LOL. Good luck hunting down some info on it.
Thanks, it looks like I’m gonna need it. =)
I’m really looking forward to Silver Shark! Ilona Andrews writes amazing books!
I hope you enjoy it just as much as her other ones when you eventually read it!
