Wow, I’m not sure what I was expecting in this 4th book in Lauren Dane’s Brown Siblings series, but I was not expecting Adrian Brown (rock star brother to the heart stopping, swoon-worthy Brody Brown) to totally and completely knock my pants socks off. But this is a Lauren Dane book and how foolish of me not to expect another devastatingly sexy hero right along with a great book.
I believe Lauren Dane does two things better than most in many of her books: 1) she writes “family” in a way that makes you want to escape inside the one your reading about and 2) she writes a dirty talking hero like none other. In Never Enough, both these talents are on full display. It was so wonderful to revisit so many of the series’ characters in this book, and each of them has their rightful place in the story.
In Never Enough Adrian Brown finally gets his story and his shot at love. The shocker to him is he also gets a son he has never known. When Adrian meets buttoned up Gillian the sparks fly, the heat rises, and my emotions just like Adrian’s and Gillian’s started running all over the place. I needed some kleenex to either wipe my sweaty brow or wipe away my tears.
The book blurb pretty much summarizes the plot so I won’t get into that. What you really need to know is that if you even slightly enjoy a dirty talking hero and a confident heroine who knows how to let loose behind closed doors all wrapped in an interesting and sometimes heart-tugging story, you must read this book! Overall I found the connection between Adrian and Gillian to be a perfect match. I also really enjoyed seeing Adrian stumble through his lack of confidence surrounding being a father. I would have liked to have seen Adrian and his son Miles spend a little more one on one time together, but I think Ms. Dane balances everything in the book in a way that left me fulfilled when I finished.
I don’t think you need to read the other books in the series to follow along but why would you want to miss out! Adrian’s story was the final Brown sibling to get his own book but there are other characters like Raven who have been around who I think deserves her own book. I’m curious where Ms. Dane takes us next.
I finally have a book to add to my Top 10 List for 2011.
Favorite Quote:
He let her go as he tried not to have a fantasy about her polishing the table in nothing but an apron and some heels. Clearly he had some fetish about cleaning and housework. This needed some investigating.

OMG OMG OMG *flails around* A+!!! I just won this book and I can’t WAIT to receive it!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the review.
LOL, I love your enthusiasm Pam. <3
Great review, Samantha! And I loved the quote! I can’t wait for dirty talking Adrian!
Ok, you got me, I just downloaded book 1, and will probably be doing the same with the rest of the series in a few days… I’m excited! =D Thanks for a great review.
Oh a Brown Sibling newbie!! I liked Laid Bare! My favorite is Coming Undone. You’ll love Brody!
I think so too, and when I saw that there’s also m/m action… swoon… I’m expecting something like Lorelei James – Rough Riders (family dinamic thing) and Olivia Cunnig – Sinners on tour (the rock and roll factor thing). They are two of my favorite Hot Series, I’m crossing my fingers for the same level of hotness… =)
Dani? Are we twin sisters? LOL It appears we love the same books. Well now that I know this, I feel very confident you will love this series.
Oh, great, I fell like my weekend is a good one already!!! =D
I loved Laid Bare – it was the first Lauren Dane book I read and I quickly devoured everything else from her that was published. And I do mean every single book! But Brody Brown in Coming Undone (book 2) is hands down one of the best male characters ever in my opinion. Hope you enjoy the series!
This looks awesome. I love that quote! Must be investigated…ahem…
These Brown boys make me weak in the knees and of course so do Todd and Ben from Laid Bare. YUM!
But I am dying to know if anyone out there knows who the cover model is on Never Enough?? Who is that man? I need more pictures of him!! He’s one of my favorite cover models…ever.
@ Lauren Dane on Twitter. She’ll probably know.
Great review!
I sent this to one of my reviewers, but I MAY have skimmed the sex scenes before sending it out. What?
Good strategy. I need to remember to do that before I send books out from now on LOL.
Based on your review, I’ll have to take a look at his one. Love the quote you selected!
I’m so jealous!! I need to get my hands on this one, and soon!! Since this is the last Brown Siblings book, was the whole thing with Todd and Ben and Erin and their families resolved?
This is the last one? No extended family and friends books? lol
My book is ordered and cannot wait till I get my hands on
Adam, I mean the book. Thanks Samantha for ratcheting up my impatience level with your review!I read the first book but didn’t know there was a series until recently! I can’t wait to read Brody’ story and have Adrian’s on pre-order…waiting…waiting…waiting.
Enjoy!!
Want to read it so BAAAAAADDDDD! Thanks for the review. I will suck my thumb in the corner now because I am sad a pouty that I haven’t read it yet.
Only a few more days!!
Awww I soo want to read this one. Want me some Adrian now!
Nice review. Sums it up perfectly and I agree completely
Best dirty talking boy in the whole series…completely worth the wait! I have read them all and thought someone blogged that this one was more “tame” than the others in the series…NOT. Just wrong and no. Adrian is just gimme from the get go.
