Barnes and Noble revealed the new Nook Tablet recently. I’ve got my Kindle Fire on order and am expecting it the middle of next week. But I know there are a lot of Nookie lovers out there, so who’s getting a Nook Tablet?

Last week I shared my Franken-pops with you. I was a rock star for a minute in my kids eyes and I’m craving the spotlight again. So I’ve been hanging out on Pinterest and scanning the crafty and food blogs for something that will propel me into mommy stardom again.
I’m pretty sure I’m going to have to make these for Christmas.
And if I’m feeling frisky, maybe these. My kids will have to love me, right?
I haven’t found anything I want to make for Thanksgiving yet. I’m not fully recovered from the Franken-pops. We’ll see.

I was browsing through my Google Reader yesterday I saw a post by Lauren Dane. I’m not sure exactly what her blog post was in response to, and honestly I don’t really need to know. I just liked her message. She is of course speaking for herself in her blog post but her last paragraph really resonated with me:
Essentially it works this way – I’m a grown ass woman. I make my own choices. Sometimes they’re stupid choices. Most of the time I’ve reached a place in my life when they’re pretty good and make me happy. I’ll read what I want. I’ll write what I want. I’ll think what I want and feel what I want without apology.
