Okay I am really crappy at remembering real peoples names, much less characters names. But I love the Mum Lauren Dane's Samhain series The Chase family.

Believe it or not, I'm a child of 80's t.v. and I always wished Claire Huxtible from the Cosby Show and Elise Keaton from Family Ties were my mom. I'm so pathetic that my daughter is named Claire Elyse.

I gotta go with Marge Simpson. She deals with all that Springfield craziness with grace and charm. And even though she is the mother of three, she's so hot, she's been in both Playboy and Maxim. With no plastic surgery! And she's an artist. And cook. And so much more. Marge Simpson rocks.

Great idea for Mother's Day! Thanks for hosting it!

My favorite TV Mom id Lorelei from Gilmore girls. She's dedicated to her daughter, has quite a "cheeky" attitude and seems like she'd be a lot of fun to hang around with!

    Thanks again!

I like Ellen Robillard O'Hara, from the book Gone with the Wind. You have to read the book to appreciate Ellen. She is strong, capable, intelligent and devoted. Her family disapproves of the man she wants to marry and they drive him away. He is killed and she is first broken-hearted, then angry. She gives her parents a choice. She will join the convent or she will marry the wealthy and much older Gerald O'Hara. After marriage, she moves away and becomes mother to Scarlett and her sisters and mistress to Tara and all that entails. You really should read it.

Ilsa Campbell-MacEnroy from Hannah Howell's Highland Groom. Her husband up and disapears for almost a year. During that lonely year she carries and delivers his twin boys. Then she goes and finds him only to find him at the alter with another woman due to a horrid memory loss. Still, she takes her man back, and accepts his 8 illegimate children, who might or might not actually be his. Now that is an awesome mother for you. Taking care of your own, your husband, and 8 other little ones who aren't even yours.

Love this one and it is so easy to answer who my favorite fictional mom is because that would be Mrs Cunningham from Happy Days. Mama Marion comes across as the total ditz and is so loveably portrayed by Marion Ross that she was a joy to watch as Ritchie and Joanie's mom in the TV show. I also loved her caring for and the bond between her and "The Fonz" Henry Winkler…

This is such a wonderful idea!!

I'm probably dating myself but for me my favorite mother is TV mom, June Cleaver of the TV show: Leave It To Beaver.

She never raised her voice, she only frowned when she was stern or was concerned over something, she always had milk and cookies on hand, and absolutely looked fabulous in her pearls!! LOL, I thought every mom was suppose to be like her. Boy, was Beaver and Wally lucky boys.

The parents from the Spy Kid movies are cool. And no, I have never seen a whole movie.

Betsy's mom from the Undead series by MaryJanice Davidson is AWESOME! She is my very favorite.

Leigh Anne Tuohy, the character Sandra Bullock portrayed in the Blindside. She is one classy Mom. To take in a teenager of another race and then adopt him. She is awesome and I applaud her.

I also liked Shirley Jones with her band family. She was neat to me.

A tie between Claire from Outlander and Melinda Monroe from Virgin River. Both are nurses which is my dream. Both are huge into the holistic side of mothering and birthing. Both really enjoy being mothers and helping others be good mothers. They both make my heart sing when I think of them.

My favorite fictional mom is Violet Bridgerton from Julia Quinn's Bridgerton Series. She is so supportive of all her children and she has a great relationship with all of them. I've been trying to think of a fictional mom all week but, honestly. The books I read don't have mothers in them & the only TV mom I can think of that I "know" is Marge Simpson! OK, my favorite TV Mom is Marge Simpson. She's smart, funny, and puts up with Homer & Bart & doesn't go insane. Plus, she's been in Playboy. (I think that was the one?)Gotta love a mom that's been on TV twenty years & is still woman enough to appear in the pages of a girly mag!
