Conversations With My Middle Daughter

6 year old: Mom, I don’t want to be a diver when I grow up.

Me: Why not?

6 year old: Because, sharks, teeth, blood. You know what happens.

Me: Oh. Ok then.

  2. ha ha…this reminds me when my 8 yr old daughter was “watching” the movie Deep Blue Sea…(she kept running out of the room)…

    -What happened to that guy?
    -The shark got him.
    -What happened to that girl?
    -The shark got her.
-What happened to that other guy?
    -The shark got him.
    -Oh, okay.

  5. LOL! Now I’m curious as to watch prompted the discussion. Obviously something shark related and perhaps diver related also.

Good to see she’s already narrowing her list of potential careers.

  6. @Ava March: Honestly she must have just had some kind of conversation going on in her head because this came right out of the blue. I’ve learned to just roll with it. lol

  12. LOVE IT! I need to write down the things my 5 and 7 year old say. The girl had me in stitches the other day and for the life of me, I can’t remember now what she said.
