First Impressions: Sex club? Really? I’ve come to expect not only erotic but also very romantic stories from Cari Quinn and so the idea of a sex club made me cringe just a little. The cringing didn’t last long, because once Carter/Nicky made an appearance the sexual tension and chemistry really kicked this story up a notch. Sex club? What sex club?
The Hero: Carter was a friend of Alana’s in high school but was a bit of a nerd so he never landed the hot girl who was the star of his teenage fantasies. But times have changed, he’s the hot guy now and he’s never forgotten Alana, his dream girl.
The Heroine: Alana hides behind her bitchy exterior. Inside she’s vulnerable and insecure but she masks it well with her outgoing personality and party girl image. It’s her way of keeping people at arms-length and away from her heart.
What worked: I love a former nerd turned sexy beast and Carter is a sexy beast. His determination to capture Alana’s heart and his ability to see past her bristly front was just sexy darn it. Did I mention that Carter is sexy? I really liked how he was able to see the real Alana and bring it to the surface.
What didn’t work: Sex behind the sex club *wince*. It just seemed too squeemy for Carter and I was surprised he ‘went there’. Alana is a party girl and it seemed ok for her but I was hoping Carter would have backed out of the deed behind the club.
Final conclusion: Cari Quinn writes sexy, romantic stories and Reveal Me lived up to my expectations. Carter really made this story for me and I was happy to see him win his girl as he slowly melted away her icy exterior. In the end she was surely worthy of this very sweet, sexy hero.

You won’t rush me. And if I want to compose a goddamned sonnet, then I will. Got it?”
